Play new opponents! Have your Go strength measured and rated! All this, and more, on Sunday, September 5. This tournament is designed to give you as many games as you can handle during the day. It will be a semi-self-paired tournament. As soon as you finish a game, you will be paired with the first player who is available and is close enough to your entry rank as to give you a satisfactory match-up. This is a good chance for newer players to get some good playing experience and for more experienced players to keep their hands in. All games will be AGA rated. So the players must be AGA members. Memberships are available at the tournament. There is also a tournament fee of $10. Light snacks and beverages will be included. Players with winning records will be issued certificates of accomplishment. You may arrive any time during the day and get paired with the next available opponent. We will start pairing around 9:00 AM and continue until around 6:00 PM. The Lower Paxton Youth Center is located east of Harrisburg near I-83 exit 48. The address is 100 Elmwood Dr, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Directions: Take I-83 North to exit 48 (Union Deposit). At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Union Deposit Rd and follow it to Rutherford Rd (the second traffic light). Turn left and follow Rutherford Rd to Locust Ln. Turn right, go straight at the next traffic light, and look for Elmwood Dr on the right. Follow Elmwood Dr around the bend into a parking lot with a swimming pool at the far end. The Lower Paxton Youth Center is on the right. If you miss Elmwood Dr, turn around at ABC North Lanes. Or just follow your GPS. Note: If you're using a GPS device, you're looking for the Elmwood Dr in Lower Paxton Township (zip code 17109), not in Susquehanna Township (zip code 17110).
